Boot from USB Device on Unsupported PC

On old PCs, there may not be a support for booting of USB Stick/ Usb Drive. So, if you ever wish you could install Windows 7 or Windows XP from USB Stick on those PCs having no support to boot from USB, then with this method you can Boot any usb drive on such unsupported Pcs.

Step 1: Download Plop manager from Here:Plop Boot Manager  and extract the archive.

Step 2: Burn it to the DVD (Don’t make DATA dvd : Use option Burn Image to disk or use below steps)

1.        Download  ImgBurn from here : ImgBurn

2.       Install and run it.

3.       Click on "Write Image File to Disk".

4.       Go to file menu in that and Click on Browse for source file.

5.       Go to Extracted Archive of plopmanager.

6.       Go to folder name “Install” in Plopmanger’s folder.

7.       Find file named plpbtin.iso and select it and hit open.

8.       Now Insert Blank CD in tray and hit Write button.

9.       Wait for it to complete successfully.

Step 3 : Make Bootable USB Stick that you want to boot..

For E.g : Norton Ghost  (You can make windows Setup Usb Stick with this Software : Win2Flash)

Step 4 : Insert plopmanager cd to CD-Drive of unsupported PC.

Step 5: Restart PC and hit F2/F8 whichever is applicable to your PC and set Bios to boot from CD.

Step 6 : Let it boot from CD.

Step 7 : Now you can select any bootable USB Device from this boot loader of plopmanager.

Step 8 : select Usb boot in Bootmanager and Enjoy..!!
